Your career, your way: MacIntyre

Your career, your way: MacIntyre

Ever considered a career in social care? With a total of 15 roles available across the Buckinghamshire area in a variety of settings, now is the perfect time to join MacIntyre.

MacIntyre is a national charity that supports over 1,200 adults and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism across England and Wales.

What do you need to succeed in our recruitment process?

At MacIntyre, we are all about the people we support and our workforce, who power our vision to support individuals with learning disabilities to live a life that makes sense to them.

We believe that experience isn’t essential for making a difference to someone’s life, but personality and a passion to learn are. Many of our teams are made up of people with a variety of career backgrounds, from lawyers to landscapers, chefs to graduates, all with one thing in common...a need to help others.

What is it like to be part of the team at MacIntyre?

We strive to make sure all our staff feel included, valued and respected, whether you work in one of our offices across the country, or you are supporting people with learning disabilities to achieve their goals and try new things.

There is always plenty of support available, starting with a full induction and training sessions when you join us, plenty of ongoing training opportunities and continuing support from your team leaders. Your ideas are always welcome and if you have personal career goals, then we can help you to achieve your aspirations to get you to where you want to be.

But don't take it from us, here is what a few of our team members said:

"I feel an immense pride working for MacIntyre. I am proud to tell my former banking colleagues what I do now, that I don’t just have a new job, but a totally new career path and vocation." - Matthew

"I would absolutely recommend MacIntyre as an employer, whether you wish to develop your career into management roles, or develop your skills and be the best you can be in the role you love." - Dan

“I have had an amazing career at MacIntyre. I have worked with both adults and children in so many different settings and areas. I have loved the ability to build a career with such a fantastic organisation, which has given me the ability to develop such a wide range of experiences with some truly phenomenal people.” - Maria
