We welcome applications from current serving Special Constables looking to transfer to Thames Valley Police (TVP). You must have been attested as a Special Constable, completed at least 50 hours of response policing and live within 20 miles of a Thames Valley Police Station. If you cannot meet all of these criteria you should apply as a new mainstream Special Constable. In addition to submitting an application to TVP you will need to submit the national transferee application form through your own force to request a transfer. A copy of this form is attached above. Once both parts have been received and checked you will be invited to a selection interview. If you are successful at interview you will undergo pre appointment checks which include medical, references, vetting and a fitness test.
