People, Potential Possibilities

That's what P3 stands for.

With P3 as our parent charity of The University of the First Age, providing opportunities for young people is exactly what we do.

Here at UFA, our focus is delivering the best NCS experiences to the next generation of young people year on year, across England.

NCS - or National Citizen Service - is a government funded programme that allows young people (aged 15-17) to step out of their comfort zone, learn new skills and make a change in their community.

A typical programme would span 4-weeks in the summer holidays and 9 days during the Autumn half term. These programmes would usually include residential stays and hands-on community work.

However, we have adapted and made changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, delivering those key skills safely whilst maintaining the impact our young people have on their local communities.

NCS at UFA allows young people to think for themselves, ignite their passions and make a real change. With social action projects addressing issues such as homelessness, the environment, diversity and equality, hygiene poverty, mental health and many many more, our young people are empowered and ready to take the next step in their future as independent, responsible, passionate and motivated citizens.

Each year we are looking for the best Wave leaders, Team leaders and Team assistants to guide the young people of your local area to aim high and achieve their goals - all whilst giving back to the community they exist within.
