From extreme weather to extremism,
you'll protect sensitive information across government.
Here at HMGCC, we're a centre of technical excellence. Using innovative tech, we develop unique communication systems to help safeguard the country. Our Service Operations Centre (SOC) is at the heart of our work. So when you join this team, you'll have the chance to do incredibly unique work that helps everyone across HMGCC. But your positive impact won't stop there. Whether it's for the Met Office or the Met Police, you'll protect some of the most sensitive conversations across government.
With excellent communication and organisation skills, you'll collaborate with a team of technical experts to deliver a variety of projects. One project might see you delivering a new communication system, another might see you developing a new capability on our existing infrastructure. This broad portfolio will broaden your exposure to Information Technology disciplines. No matter the project, you'll ensure that everything is delivered on time and in line with quality targets.
We'll also expect you to lead reporting activities, performance reviews, risk management and project assurance activities. You'll use all your learnings to help support the project delivery community. You'll also take advantage of our excellent training, developing your skills and even working towards formal qualifications.
You'll have an understanding of the techniques and best practices of project management within an IT environment. This'll be supported by your experience of managing medium to large projects with multiple dependencies. Plus, you'll be confident effectively collaborating with a range of colleagues, customers and contractors. You might also have a PRINCE2, Agile Project Management or an ITIL V3 Foundation qualification (or equivalent). Importantly, you'll be keen to learn, with a proactive attitude.
In return, you'll take advantage of our creative environment and personalised training. We'll give you all the tools and development so you can become the best you can be. You'll also receive access to our free on-site gym, an excellent pension and 25 days' annual leave.
