Outline

You'll be supporting David* a 25 year old gentleman with his everyday living needs. These will include helping him to manage finances and supporting with domestic life skills. You will need to have your own car as David needs assistance travelling to and from college and his volunteer job. There is only limited personal care involved with this role but he does appreciate some help washing his hair.

You'll work 15 hours a week on a shift rota pattern covering; earlys, lates and some sleep ins including weekends and bank holidays.

About you

So what do you need to do this job? It's not about experience, it's about having the right personal qualities of empathy and patience, and being willing to learn. Most of our support workers reckon they find out a lot about themselves from doing this work, as well as learning all the practical skills involved in finding out the best approach to support someone else.

You must have a manual driving licence for this role as you may be required to drive the person we support's own car.
