Could you support people with a learning disability to live more independently? Would you like to make a difference that lasts long after the end of your shift? No experience needed.
You'll be a Relief Support Worker in Westoning, near Bedford, supporting adults with a learning disability or autism. Relief staff members work shifts that fit in with your lifestyle, giving you flexibity and us additional staff coverage when most needed.
There are a range of shifts to be covered, and this includes waking nights.
You'll support people to enjoy their favourite hobbies, both at home and out and about as lock-down begins to lift. You'll help them learn new things and live as independently as possible. Some people will require your assistance with intimate care or medication. When struggling to communicate, people can display behaviour you may find challenging. We will provide you with full training and back-up from our specialist teams and your colleagues.
What we need from you
You don't need experience, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. What's important is that you share our values, have a positive approach and are willing to learn. However due the services location and the need to drive service vehicles you must be a driver with a manual licence.
