Are you looking for night shift work?  Could you support young people with learning disabilities?

Come and join us a Waking Nights Support Worker in St Albans and you'll soon see what makes this work so rewarding! We have hours open for both full and part time night staff.

You'll join the expanding team at our residential children’s home in St Albans, where we provide support for up to five children and young people, aged 11 to 18, who have learning disabilities and complex needs.

You'll be available when they are wakeful at night and check at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for school or college the next day. You will need to provide support with intimate care. This is an important role to make sure the young people don’t feel vulnerable during the night, especially those who are in new surroundings.

Full-time hours are 38 hours a week, with part-time contracts by negotiation.

About you

It would be helpful if you have experience working with people with learning disabilities in a care setting, but this isn’t essential as we will provide a full induction and ongoing training and support from your line manager and our expert teams.
