We’re looking for a motivated self-starter with a genuine passion for the industry. As this apprenticeship involves continuous learning, you’ll need to be committed, disciplined, and comfortable managing your own time and development.

We’ll provide additional training and development through a comprehensive apprenticeship programme supported via Thatcham.

The apprenticeship is expected to take a minimum of 3 years subject to previous experience. We’ll support all aspects of the apprenticeship through to being a fully qualified Motor Engineer, including applications to the Institute of Engineer Assessors, Institute of the Motor Industry, Salvage Qualification and Vehicle Damage Assessor qualification. We also provide training on Audatex estimating system, Engineer Diary Management System and Thatcham Escribe Repair Methodology.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you’ll be assigned a  defined geographical area, forming part of a UK-wide team. You’ll inspect vehicles using Audatex and our bespoke Engineer Diary Management System, and will be responsible for negotiating the method and cost of repair, dealing with total loss cases and providing expert guidance to our stakeholders. You'll work in partnership with local network and non-network repairers.

You’ll be required to work remotely from home with a mix of desk and physical inspections when required.  The ratio of desk to physical will vary depending on the needs of the business.  Following suitable training and induction into the role, we’d expect you to work with minimal supervision, utilising your experience and expertise to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

As mentioned above, our priority is to find the best fit for the role, regardless of prior experience.
