Specific Job Description
The Systems Engineer will be an experienced Systems Engineer, preferably with Electronics/Electrical experience. The Systems Engineer will report into the Systems Lead and support the Systems activities that will take the program from PDR to CDR. This will involve maturing artefacts such as the Systems Architecture, Systems Functions, Systems Requirements and evolving these to the lower functions; managing Technical Performance Measures through the development lifecycle, ensuring trades are worked through and understood by all stakeholders; capturing evidence of compliance to design and requirements in order to demonstrate compliance to BS 61508.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
The Systems Engineer will need to be able to provide examples of their successful experience of working the Systems Engineering lifecycle from PDR to CDR, how they have driven the Systems Design into the Subsystems, managed and controlled Key Requirements with Suppliers and ensuring Compliance to standards such as Functional Safety BS 61508.
Experience of Systems Engineering tools such as DOORs, Windchill is required; Knowledge of developing Systems Architectures, translating into subsystems requirements using various methods; Progressive Assurance methods to ensure compliance status is understood throughout the development.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
The role will require interfacing with a Supplier to ensure the development of the product is inline with contracted Technical Pack and reporting any discrepancies between the developed product and Technical Pack/ Technical Pack and Systems Requirements. The Systems Engineer will be expected to work and drive these gaps through the processes. Experience of having previous experience in this area would be advantageous
