Applications are invited to apply for a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This post typical involves working on a resident on call rota, so depending on agreement, this post would normally exceed the basic 10 PA full time contract.
The successful candidate will join the only Emergency Department in the Milton Keynes District which currently serves a population of over 200,000.
This is a busy teaching hospital with affiliations to the University of Oxford, Health Education Thames Valley (HETV) and also the University of Buckingham Medical School (opened in January 2015). There are ample opportunities for career development, teaching experience and research.
We can offer successful candidates a variety of training opportunities including secondments in acute medicine, intensive care and paediatrics. We have weekly Middle Grade Doctor training and tailor these to support with examines and your development.
Our exciting Emergency Department can offer you career progression and protected SPA time for revalidation. We work closely with acute medical colleagues to work in innovative ways to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients and have developed an Acute Emergency Ambulatory Service.
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in teaching both under and postgraduate students associated with the University of Buckingham and will also be expected to support colleagues doing these activities as part of his or her arranged job plan.
