The University of Bedfordshire Business School is at the forefront of expanding opportunity and access in higher education. With a strong focus on the student experience, we are committed to excellent, inclusive teaching that prepares our students for professional employment and inspires them to achieve their ambitions.

Following significant investment by the University in the learning environment and the student experience, we are seeking Visiting Lecturers to join the academic team responsible for our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate Law courses. In addition to a successful LLB and our Law with Criminology, Law with Psychology and Law with Financial Management undergraduate courses, the Law portfolio includes two specialised LLM courses. The Law team also delivers several Law units for non-law students on other courses offered within the Faculty.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering online and face-to-face teaching, designing online teaching materials, providing feedback on formative assessments, and marking. With a PhD or with equivalent professional experience in an appropriate subject area, you will be an excellent communicator, will enjoy working as part of a team and will be committed to your own personal development within your subject field.

We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience of teaching any of the core LLB & LLM subjects; commercial and business law; company law; international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration; company law; employment law; intellectual property law; corporate governance; legal research methods.

Familiarity with Blackboard and other online educational platforms and legal databases is essential. Experience of online teaching and blended delivery, engagement with external partners and delivering HE provision across a distributed campus would be an advantage.

Teaching occurs at our various campus locations, including Luton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, and London.  In addition to teaching we may require you to hold online office hours which are paid at a lower rate.

The University is committed to equality of opportunity and values the diversity of all its workforce and student population.
