Job Description

Create exceptional customer experiences across all Electric Vehicle charging offers and customer touchpoints, through delivery of awesome and inspiring digital products, focussing on B2B (e.g. fleet)

Key Responsibilities & Tasks :

  • Develop and execute a customer centric digital product roadmap enabling BP Chargemaster to lead across B2C/B2B domains (e.g. through home charging, on the go services, fleet management)
  • Must be able and willing to document product specifications, such as epics, user stories, acceptance criteria in relevant software (Azure Dev Ops). Must be comfortable getting into the detail and hands-on
  • Ensure focus on delivering high quality and high value digital products, always built with the user in mind. Balance with focus on generating business value and commercial return
  • Drive product innovation to connect digital products with hardware to create a world-class customer experience
  • Advocate the use of data to support decision making and doing the right thing
  • Bring insight on future trends in products and EV charging into the innovation pipeline
  • Transform and lead delivery / scrum teams to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality products, promoting a culture of customer centricity
  • Support the creation of a future-proof digital architecture to maximise customer and business value through partnership and innovation
  • The role is a critical part of the business growth strategy given the increasing importance of digital products from both customer and business perspectives.

Qualifications

Degree or Masters (required), ideally in engineering, computer science, information systems, business or similar field

Project/Programme management experience/qualification (preferred)

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven success managing and delivering high profile and successful B2B products
  • Deep understanding of B2B business domain
  • Proven and successful experience in the execution of ambitious product roadmaps, including launching new products and continuous feature delivery to enhance customer experience and drive business results
  • Expert in customer and product centric design methods and taking concepts from ideation through to execution
  • Proven and successful experience in adopting Agile practices and operating Scrum framework
  • Highly competent in managing one/many scrum teams
  • Proven ability to interact with multiple functions within an organisation to delivery goals, and more broadly, with the functions in the group that are working in the space of product, digital, mobility and/or electrification
  • Proven and successful in managing joint projects with partners and 3rd party suppliers
  • Proven track record of performing in high-intensity environments, operating within tight financial resources and meeting challenging deadlines
  • Self-starter mentality with drive and motivation whilst also being an exceptional communicator who works well within a multidisciplinary team, bringing colleagues with them on a journey
  • Positive personality, with energetic leadership style and strong resilience
  • A good balance of structured/holistic thinking with fast moving and pragmatic execution
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, process efficiency and people empowerment

 

Additional Information

Key Relationships:

  • Interact with all functions across the organisation to ensure effective communication of product strategy, alignment of roadmaps/plans/timelines and provide proactive communications around product strategy through to execution.

  • Connect with wider BP stakeholders and business units, Group IT and 3rd party organisations/partners

Other:

  • Must be able to operate from Milton Keynes office, with travel to other locations on needs basis (assuming normal business practice/post covid)
