Broughton Junior School is a vibrant two-form entry Junior School located on the outskirts of Aylesbury town centre. We strive to make sure our children’s education is rich, stimulating and fun – with a focus on:

About you

  • Degree/PGCE or equivalent
  • QTS Status
  • Consistently good teaching in KS2 
  • The knowledge and understanding of current theory and best practice in learning and teaching, particularly as this relates to high achievement and attainment.
  • Understanding of a diverse range of teaching and learning styles and techniques.
  • Good understanding of the importance of ethos and values and how this impacts on wellbeing, high expectation and high standards.
  • Ability to promote the school’s ethos and values positively, and use effective strategies to support wellbeing
  • Ability to establish a sound professional relationships within a team, making an effective contributing to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of others
  • Boundless enthusiasm, determination and drive to inspire others to achieve high standards
  • An appetite and ambition to develop own practise by proactively seeking feedback and CPD
