The University of Bedfordshire is looking for an energetic and forward-thinking Communications Officer to join a small but busy Communications team.
Based in the Vice Chancellors Office at the University’s Luton campus, it’s easily commutable from London, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Bucks – the train station is a short walk from the campus and staff parking is also available. Due to current circumstances, home-based and flexible working is available (but is subject to change).
Day-to-day tasks will include supporting the Internal Communications Manager with writing staff and student newsletters, managing the staff intranet and student app, creating digital artwork to be displayed across our campuses, promoting good news and events at Bedfordshire, and supporting senior leaders at the University by communicating strategic news.
Required skills for this role include experience writing for different audiences, project management, independent working, ability to design digital assets, and enthusiasm for two-way conversations in order to bring out staff and student voices at Bedfordshire.
Previous experience of working in a busy communications team is desirable and experience of writing and producing content for a variety of audiences, working efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines is a must.
