Job Description

We are looking for individuals that have a passion in providing excellent customer service to join our team of 111 Health Advisors in Welwyn Garden City

  • Do you have excellent communication & administration skills and able to work in a contact centre environment?
  • Are you caring, empathetic and want to help and make a real difference to people’s lives?
  • Are you confident on the phone and willing to train to be able to provide guidance to patients in a calm and logical way?

If your answer is YES to the questions above, then working for HUC as a 111 Health Advisor (Call Handler) could be the role for you!


Our 111 Health Advisors are at the front line of our service, you will be answering telephone calls from members of the public and health care professionals. You will assess the health needs of patients and utilising clinical decision support software, to make appropriate referrals for our patients

  • Excellent administration skills with ability to prioritise and organise workload
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and data entry skills (listening, written and verbally)
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and punctual


Shifts we have available: 

We have various part time rotas available which all include working hours during the weekend plus a part time overnight rota that we are recruiting for.



You will be paid to complete a 4 week Full Time 111 Pathway training course
