Job Description


  • Be aged 16 – 47 years old (Must attest before 48th birthday)
  • Be a citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of a dual UK/other nationality or have been a Commonwealth citizen from birth
  • Commit minimum 3 years post Phase Two Training
  • Pass the Airmen Selection Test
  • Pass a Fitness test 


  • Deliver equipment to the operational front line
  • Use computerised accounting techniques, storage methods and equipment handling
  • Work on airfield fuel installations or in specialist storage areas


Your career will start with a 10-week Basic Recruit Training Course at RAF Halton in Buckinghamshire. The course is designed to help you adjust to a military environment. As well as fitness and military training, you’ll also learn about the RAF lifestyle.


Continuing at MOD Worthy Down, you will enter the challenging specialist trade training environment. The Logistics Basic Training course is 13 weeks 3 days long and it is here that you will be taught the necessary skills required to do your job. On leaving Logs Basic Training you will have gained the skills and knowledge required to ensure equipment is kept in the right environment and that the stockholding IT system accurately reflects physical holdings and locations. You will be able to take customer orders and provide delivery solutions; you will have the skills to pack, document and despatch/deliver equipment to the end user either within the UK or, eventually, across the world.
