Who are we?
HUC provides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Care services to nearly 3 million patients across a range of counties, including Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire and West Essex. When patients are ill and need the right medical attention, HUC provides the NHS111 and Out of Hours GP service.
As a Health Advisor (Call Handler) you will answer telephone calls directly from the public and health care professionals, directing the caller to the most suitable service to meet their needs. You will be paid to complete a NHS 111 Pathways training course to ensure you are fully equipped to help the patients living in Cambridgeshire

We have various rotas available for afternoons/ late shifts and weekends
You will be paid to complete a 4 week Full Time 111 Pathway training course

We are an experienced provider, having delivered GP led services since 2008 including, NHS111, GP Out of Hours, an APMS GP practice, Extended Access, an Urgent Treatment Centre, a Minor Injuries Unit and an Acute Visiting Service.
We are a nationally recognised NHS partner, providing Integrated Urgent Care Services to over 3 million patients, via the single-entry point of NHS111, this also includes access to Out of Hours Dental Advice and GP telephone cover.
We deliver services across a number of geographical locations and systems, working closely with health, social care and community service providers. We are proactive in developing solutions to support both primary and urgent care, regularly piloting new ideas and initiatives to support patient flow, admission avoidance and better access.
We are a not for profit organisation, any surplus that we make is reinvested straight back into the services we deliver, rather than being distributed to shareholders. We are proud of our social enterprise status and our ability to provide our patients with access to health care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As HUC is an organisation commissioned by the NHS, all roles are listed on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (SI 1975/1023), which means they are eligible for a standard or enhanced check as appropriate from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
