Calling all newly qualified Nurses!

We are looking for newly qualified Staff Nurses to join our professional and motivated nursing teams across our acute and community sites. We are extremely proud of our services and want you to be part of our future, joining our healthcare heroes at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust!

You will join a busy multi-disciplinary team who are dedicated to providing individualised, evidence-based care.  You will be self-driven, striving to provide a high standard of nursing care.  Your philosophy should be that the patient’s needs come first. We have opportunities in:

  • Integrated medicine division: Emergency Department, AOU, Short stay ward, Endoscopy, Endocrine, Gastroenterology, Stroke and Cardiology, Respiratory
  • Integrated Elderly Care: Community Nursing teams, Neuro Rehab, Care of the Elderly
  • Surgical and Critical Care division: Intensive care unit, Trauma and orthopaedics, general surgical floor, Theatres, Outpatients
  • Specialist Services division: National Spinal Injuries Centre, Cancer &Haematology
  • Women and Children’s: Paediatric nursing

We recognise the value that each individual brings to our profession and we will support you as you take your first steps with us, including enrollment on a 24 month Preceptorship Programme; specifically designed to meet the development needs of newly qualified nurses which actively promotes and supports continuing professional development. Our programme includes:

  • Study days over a two-year programme
  • Support from Clinical Practice Educators
  • Signposted to Simulation
  • Links with clinical skills development
  • Clinical Supervision

The Preceptorship Team aim to deliver our teaching in an innovative and effective way. Our learning days don’t just involve sitting in a classroom but are interactive, practical, stimulating and empowering.
