About the role:

The HR Support Team provides support and advice to our leaders and colleagues on a variety of HR queries and requests. These include policy information, payroll, first line Employee Relations and many more. The team predominantly engage with our colleagues via telephone calls and emails and will be proactive in building brilliant relationships with the wider business. The HR Support Team is the first point of contact for our colleagues across the Business.


As a HR Advisor you will be responsible for providing excellent advice and support to our colleagues on a range of queries. You will need to be a sound communicator and team player, with a genuine desire for providing our colleagues with best service possible. The role will offer a day that is never the same, and challenge you to think on your feet.


You responsibilities will include:

  • The delivery of the Countrywide experience throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Developing a deep understanding of all `technical areas` to provide a valued HR advisory service to the business
  • Desire to continually develop your own understanding of employment legislation
  • Having the ability to deliver high quality HR support that provides colleagues with a positive experience at all times
  • Working within agreed standards and SLA`s, particularly in relation to the resolution or hand off of queries
  • Developing strong relationships and work collaboratively with the Employee Relations Team in referring and resolving employee relations cases in a seamless way
  • To be seen as an expert in understanding HR policy and process both within and outside the HR function
  • To seek new and innovative ways to remove the administrative burden from the business, so they can focus on providing a brilliant experience to our Customers
  • Taking ownership of employee queries see them throughto resolution
  • Developing brilliant relationships within the business and the HR Services team
  • Working closely with the HR Support Manager to build knowledge and share best practice within the HR Support team and beyond
  • Assist the HR Support Manager to gather value adding data

Your skills and experience:

You will have previous success in a HR generalist role, with a good understanding of employment legislation and the way to pragmatically apply this. You will be able to demonstrate strong communication, influencing and customer services skills. As well as thriving in a fast paced and pressured environment, you will have the ability to prioritise your work load effectively whilst not impacting customer service and instilling confidence in our colleagues.
