Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Schools Resourcing Officer to join our Resourcing Team. This position is part-time (22hrs per week) and term-time only. The pro-rata salary would be £11,171.58 per annum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the advertising service for schools and other external customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a proactive approach to ensure resourcing service levels are consistently met and high-quality customer service is delivered.

This opportunity is a fixed-term contract until for up to 12 months (covering parental leave).

No two days will be the same in this varied and fast paced role, some of the key duties are:

  • To monitor mailboxes to ensure calls, emails and portal requests are acknowledged, resolved, or redirected in a timely manner.
  • To provide high quality customer service to schools and external customers.
  • To promote use of various recruitment channels including Social Media.
  • To collaborate with team colleagues to deliver a positive customer experience and ensure to ensure policies and processes are followed.

About the role

The main responsibilities of this opportunity include:

  • Check advertising mailbox daily for new adverts, and publish adverts within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Answer advertising queries from schools, escalating complex queries to Schools Advisor.
  • Check adverts to ensure advert wording and documents provided by the school are legally compliant and contain all necessary information, contacting school with suggested revised wording if necessary.
  • Using Talent Link, post adverts to the BC careers site and intranet, checking the advert once live to ensure formatting and wording is correct and sending links to schools to view.
  • Advertising apprenticeship vacancies on BC careers site and intranet, liaising with apprenticeship team to confirm levy funding and ensure advert is posted to NAS website for a minimum of 2 weeks.
  • Liaise with TES, Job Match and other job boards to publish school adverts, forwarding links to schools once advert is live.
  • Create social media posts and write attractive copy to publish on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn using canva and crowdcrontrol
  • Weekly jobs closing spreadsheet - close jobs that have past their closing date and contact schools to ask for feedback on their advert and our service.
  • Attend events with Schools Advisor to promote the advertising service
  • Assist with ad hoc projects to improve the service provided to schools

  Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.

About you

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and engage successfully with the stakeholder community. You will need to possess the ability to challenge managers and chase issues with authority.
  • Practical experience within a related field i.e. HR, recruitment, business support.
  • Good ICT skills - both standard packages and specialist systems such as SAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills, with proven ability to prioritise and co-ordinate workloads, monitor and evaluate work, to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Numerate and accurate with attention to detail. Be confident with data and the ability to analyse data, record and interpret data accurately.
