HEAD CHEF- BEAUTIFUL WEDDING VENUE- TOWCESTER

Berry Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a talented head chef to join a stunning wedding venue in Towcester. 

We are looking for a skilled head chef who has worked with weddings and events before and has the flair and creativity to produce delicious freshly prepared dishes with locally supplied ingredients that look amazing too! They should also have excellent attention to detail and be able to comfortably manage the kitchen team, kitchen finances and budgets. 

The venue is part of a group of wedding venues that strive to create unforgettable memories in beautiful settings for couple's wedding days. You will have the support from a close knit privately owned company that specialise in weddings and the opportunity to build a new team.

At the venue there has been substantial investment recently on a brand new top spec kitchen and in other key areas  all to be ready for 2024 weddings. 

Must haves:

  • Previous Head Chef /Senior Sous experience 
  • Delivered wedding and event or hotel catering for up to 200 guests.
  • Financial astute with the ability to work to budgets.
  • Level 3 Food Safety a must have with excellent knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements. 
  • Excellent communication skills and computer literate. 
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Must be a team player and friendly personality.
  • Physically fit and able to work standing up for long periods of time. 
  • Own transport essential due to location.
  • 3 years of managing staff 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Kitchen Management - Stock Control, maintenance, finance, hygiene, health and safety.
  • Team Leadership - Lead, train, and motivate staff, foster teamwork and maximise efficiency.
  • Budget Management - Maintain kitchen budget, control costs.    
  • Quality Control - Drive standards, ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times, food quality and presentation standards are consistent.

  • Typically 5 out of 7 days with regular weekend work given the nature of the business.

 Salary is £45,000 with £5000 bonus.
