Exciting Opportunities for Bank Prescribing Nurse Practitioners – Cambridge & Peterborough
Are you looking for varied work in Out of Hours? We are recruiting Prescribers with nurse practitioner experience. If you are passionate about helping others and are patient centred, we want to hear from you.
Who are we?
HUC provides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Healthcare services to over 3 million patients across a range of counties, including Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire and West Essex.
When patients are ill and need the right medical attention, they use our NHS111 service to access medical advice, assessment and treatment. We also provide a range of other healthcare services to support patients including Out of Hours GP service and running urgent care centres.
You will clinically assess acutely unwell patients in HUC’s out of hour’s base at Peterborough City Care Centre, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon or Clinic 9 at Addenbrooke’s hospital, Cambridge.
As part of the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) team, with GP colleagues and Pharmacists you will form part of a wider Clinical workforce team, assessing, receiving patients as they present with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, offering treatment, advice or referral as appropriate.
This role offers a combination of face to face consultations and telephone triage. Referrals are from NHS111 and you will be confident in telephone consultations. Patient groups include infants, elderly care and end of life.
Working as part of a 24/7 multi disciplinary team, hours include evenings and weekends. Contracted hours and bank opportunities are available.
We are looking for qualified clinicians to support HUC's delivery of outstanding patient care.
