We are currently recruiting 2 Import & Logistics Coordinators to be based in our Tilbrook office (MK7 8BN) to provide excellent customer service to the Customs & Logistics clientele of Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd. They will drive improvements to the working procedures and ensure shipments are managed efficiently and ‘right first time’
The roles will offer a salary of up to £26K and an opportunity to work from home 2 days per week (subject to business requirements)
The roles will follow the rotational shift pattern:
- Tuesday-Saturday 6.00 AM–3.00 PM or 2.00 PM–11.00 PM
- Sunday-Thursday 6.00 AM–3.00 PM or 2.00 PM–11.00 PM
1. Customs Activities:
o Work closely with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth seamless service levels are achieved.
o Complete Customs clearance as per customer instructions and adhering to HMRC Regulations
o Complete Transit procedures in line with Customer instructions and adhering to HMRC Regulations
o Act as direct point of contact for clients, ensuring that all operational, Customs requirements and enquiries are responded to on time and concluded accurately and courteously
2. KPIs reporting and management:
o Prepare KPI reports and present to clients as required.
o Maintain systems with accurate and real-time data
o Monitor and control all cost and revenue at job-file level
o Complete regular audits on the Customs activity to ensure adherence with HM Customs procedures / client instructions
o Confirm and process all job-file invoicing where required
o Ensure total accuracy of all information and high standards of operational service are met at all times
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Strong numeracy & literacy with good attention to details
• Proactive approach with ability to prioritise and manage the workload
• Knowledge of Incoterms and HMRC
• Knowledge of Customs Procedures & Regulations and Freight Forwarding will be a plus
• Highly organised with ability to work under pressure and to deadline
• Strong team work skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate level)
